Federica Del Proposto is an Italian visual artist.
Born in Rome, after earning a degree in Architecture with first class honors from Rome Tre University, she began drawing comics creating Fumettisottovuoto, a comic strip that became an online sensation in the late 2000s as one of the first online comic diaries in Italy.
In 2010, she moved to Paris after winning the Leonardo European grant for young architects, where she worked as both an architect and illustrator.
In 2014, she fully transitioned to visual art, gaining international recognition with her Village Saint-Martin drawing series.
This series defined her distinctive drawing style, characterized by meticolously rendered colored outlines of consistent thickness alternating with solid areas of pastel colors.
Her work combines architectural precision with dynamic visual storytelling, influenced by her dual background in architecture and comics.
She express this fusion through drawings and installations that explore the vibrant situations of human society and the spaces it inhabits.
